I added the factory as a new requirement, but it does not seem to help. 

That should have fixed it.

Is it due to AIP ordering?

If the factory is set to be built later than Pariahs are, this could happen.

I've got the factory up before I order anything factory based...  It just keeps defaulting to the Rec.

That goes for ALL units (from qvltank to qvwalk).

It doesn't affect gameplay too much, (the units still attack you,) but it would be nice if the factory would work.

Well, I'm not sure how, but I got the factory to start spitting walkers. :D

Everything else is still coming from the Recy, but now I have hope! :)

after you get comfortable, you should start using Lua.
