Mini-Project #1
« on: May 15, 2009, 09:46:33 PM »
We need buildings, lots and lots of buildings. City type, not like LOOT but instead more simple OR complicated.
Simple = more real looking but no inside.
Complicated = Realistically formed internals, parking garages are a great example of this.

This means that a variety of people can work on these, since skill varies from a box with a nice texture to a complex multilevel interior structure. Now this is the future, so be advanced. Older buildings will still be around nut less and less common the closer the the center of the capital.

I think some buildings should have insides and others shouldnt, like COD4, certain places for snipers and other buildings for random cover.

Also, buildings should be destructible, that would bring another aspect in. :)

The city missions that involve on foot action are very specific, but generalized buildings build for people might work well for MP.

Ah, so its a campaign thing.

I was also needing some nice buildings with interiors for DME when we get that far.

I can take care of scaling and compatibility if others can't.

If you have a building to submit, please PM it to both Nielk1 and I, not just one or the other.

Thank you.

It's not your fault.  You didn't know.  I just said that for people who decide to submit things in the future.

Any guidelines to follow when designing a building for that particular mod? Does it need to have hangar decks, comm antennae, fancy stuff,
or just plain and simple towers would do...?

Well, it's Earth in a dystopic future where Braddock came to take it over and he rebuilds parts of it how he wants (mega cities) and other parts he leaves dilapidated.  Early enemies would be terrorist groups and urban warfare until the war begins.
